My love for adventure began when I was still in elementary school. I had asked my parents if I could go to sleepover camp one summer and the rest was history. I fell in love with camp immediately and ended up going for 5-1/2 weeks for many summers following.

I followed into my adventurous footsteps when it came time to apply for college and ended up in North Carolina at High Point University. I stayed there for a year and transferred to the University of New Hampshire where I graduated with a degree in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology.

While at UNH I also met my amazing boyfriend Dan. We clicked instantly and have been on an exciting journey for the past three years. Following my graduation from UNH in May 2016, we moved to Colorado where Dan is finishing school and I’m working from home as an Associate Project Manager.

I decided to get my cat, Malloy, in October and woke up inspired one morning to create a blog…so here we are!

Writing has always been a passion of mine and I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog for a while. About three years ago I found a one on Pinterest, At Home With Natalie, and have been following it ever since. I have used her as an inspiration and started taking her blogging course to help get my blog started. I am very new to this “blogging” thing and am hoping this course helps me connect with the blogging community and find a network of people who enjoy writing, cats, creativity, adventure and so much more.

When I got my cat, Malloy, in October I knew I wanted to harness train him so he can experience more of the world. This inspired me to begin the blog as a resource for others who may be interested and to share my successes and setbacks throughout the process. It is very important for (indoor) cats to experience the outdoors, but doing it safely can be difficult. I would love others to become more familiar with the idea of cats “adventuring” and being safely outdoors. If dogs can do it why can’t cats?
